We recognize that our first responders are our community's backbone, ensuring our safety and protection through dedicated service. This is why Ethan partnered with the community and student organizations at LaTech to salute first responders this holiday season. Jeffus along with his partners baked homemade cookies and bought treats to give to Ruston first responders. This project is possible through members of the Louisiana Tech Club Tennis Team, Student Speech, Language, & Hearing Association, Pre-Law Society, and Kim Dupree State Farm Agent who all contributed holiday dessert items! During Ethan’s time in Baton Rouge, LA he went on a tour of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. This facility distributes food to area pantries in the 11 surrounding capital parishes. Volunteers serve as the powerhouse behind many of the operations at the food bank. This is one of the factors that led to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank being honored with the group 2022 Champion of Service award.

During Ethan’s time in Dallas, Tx he was invited to tour the North Texas Food Bank located in north Dallas. This faculty serves as a warehouse hub for food to be collected, sorted, and then dispersed to over 100 area food pantries in the Dallas area and surrounding countries.

This statewide campaign encouraged the beautification and clean-up of the state across the 64 Louisiana parishes. Ethan with his Love the Boot week of events, spearheaded the effort to clean-up the state in the community of Ruston. Throughout the week multiple events were hosted around the theme of environmental awareness. During the week an environmental awareness presentation was hosted, a trail and clean up of Duncan Park in Ruston, La and a painting event to spread positivity and raise environmetal awareness. Ethan believes that you must first be the change you want to see in society and thanks those who participated in this week of events.

The Warming Elders Tootsies sock drive has become a holiday tradition for Ethan and the north Louisiana area for 3 years and counting. Initiated in 2018 the mission of the project is to spread holiday cheer to local nursing homes through caroling and gifting residents with a pair
